Una domenica da cui non ci aspettavamo tanto quella passata, un ricco pranzo, la pupa che non ha voluto dormire, un paio di amici che all’ultimo non siamo riusciti a vedere e poi…un lampo di genio: andiamo tutti insieme a vedere Calder ed i suoi Mobiles in mostra dallo scorso venerdì 23 Ottobre al Palazzo delle Esposizioni di Roma. La mostra è bellissima, ne siamo usciti soddisfatti, nonostante la nostra guida fosse davvero scarsina. Le stanze sono ben allestite e a mio parere e lasciano spazio alle sculture aeree e ai dipinti di Calder, un eccentrico ingegnere figlio di artisti che ha passato la vita ad inscenare il movimento. Entriamo nella prima stanza e vedendo dei suoi studi giovanili di animali ritratti durante gite allo zoo del Bronks o rubati durante visite al circo mi fanno pensare ai bambini, e a mia figlia che puntualmente si è addormentata sul più bello. Poi le sculture in fil di ferro, che sembrano uscite da linee tracciate sul foglio e poi tirate via a forza per riempire lo spazio tridimensionale. Ed ancora i suoi quadri bellissimi che cambiano con gli eventi della sua vita, influenzati da incontri con illustri artisti. Le ultime sale invece sono un’esplosione di movimento, da capogiro, vuote e piene degli spettacolari Mobiles, sculturee aeree in equilibrio nello spazio, in balia di correnti e minimi spostamenti d’aria. Insomma andate a vedere questa mostra, merita davvero!

I am really happy to have the possibility with this post to introduce you to the fantastic world of Kindergallery, an art gallery for children, based in Sydney and with a second home in Berlin! I highly recommend to visit the on-line gallery that Fiona decided to set up as she become a mum. In this magic place you will find an interesting selection of evocative paints, colourful prints, funny mobiles 
and handcrafted objects. I also really appreciate how Kindergallery approaches their young visitors:
